Bothrops moojeni, or the Brazilian lancehead snake, is a venomous snake from the viper family. It lives in the central part of South America and ambushes small animals.
The Brazilian lance-headed snake differs from related species in the shape of the head and the pattern of the body. It plays an important role in nature by controlling the number of rodents.
