Eshowe dwarf chameleon
Bradypodion caeruleogula
The blue-throated bradypodion is one of the smallest chameleons. It lives only on trees in one forest in eastern South Africa and changes its skin color.
This chameleon differs from related species by the blue color of the throat in males and its very small size. It is important for the forest because it eats insects and serves as prey for birds and snakes.
