Cynisca bifrontalis
Cynisca bifrontalis is a legless lizard from the amphisbaenian group. It spends its entire life underground in the tropical forests of Central Africa and feeds on small invertebrates.
Cynisca bifrontalis differs from other amphisbaenians by the special structure of its head with two frontal shields. It is important for the soil because it loosens it and regulates the population of invertebrates.
