Georgian lizard Darevskia rudis is a small lizard with rough scales on the tail. It lives on rocky slopes of the Caucasus mountains and feeds on small insects.
The Georgian lizard differs from closely related species by its strongly rough scales on the upper side of the tail. It is important for nature as a hunter of insects and prey for birds and snakes in the mountain ecosystems of the Caucasus.
