Hemiphyllodactylus typus is a small nocturnal gecko about five centimeters long. All individuals of this species are females and reproduce without the participation of males.
Hemiphyllodactylus typus differs from other geckos in that all its populations consist only of females and reproduce by parthenogenesis. It is useful for nature and humans as it destroys harmful insects in homes and natural habitats.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
