pine barrens treefrog
Dryophytes andersonii
The Pine Tree Frog is a small bright green frog with a dark stripe along the sides of its body. It lives in marshy pine forests in the east of North America and climbs plants well.
The Pine Tree Frog differs from other tree frogs with its bright orange coloration on the legs and preference for acidic swamps of pine barrens. It is important for nature as a predator of insects and an indicator of the purity of marshy areas.
