Xestochilus revulsus
Xyrias revulsus
Xyrias revulsus is a small marine fish up to 30 centimeters long. It lives on the sandy bottom of warm seas, quickly burrows into the substrate and hunts from ambush.
Xyrias revulsus differs from related species by its ability to bury itself in the sand very quickly and having good vision with almost complete body coverage. It helps maintain the balance of the marine ecosystem by eating small invertebrates.
