Paratrygon aiereba
Paratrygon aiereba
Paratrygon aiereba is a freshwater stingray with a wide flat body in the shape of a disk. It lives on the bottom of rivers in South America and uses a venomous spine on its tail for protection.
Paratrygon aiereba differs from marine stingrays by living only in freshwater and having a very strong venom. It helps maintain balance in river ecosystems by eating small animals.
