Saltuarius moritzi
Saltuarius moritzi
Moritz's saltuarius is an Australian gecko with a wide flat tail. It lives in rainforests and camouflages excellently as leaves and tree bark.
Moritz's saltuarius differs from related species by its very wide leaf-shaped tail and a special pattern of tubercles on the skin. It helps maintain balance in the forest as an insect hunter.
