Mistichthys luzonensis
Sinaparan, or mistichthys, is one of the smallest fish in the world. This freshwater fish lives only in Lake Buhi on the Philippines and belongs to the goby family.
Sinaparan differs from other gobies by its record small body size. It occupies an important place in the lake's food chain as a consumer of plankton and food for larger fish.
