Apletodon dentatus
The small-headed sucker is a small marine fish up to seven centimeters long. It lives near the shore and firmly holds onto rocks or algae using a large sucker on its belly.
The small-headed sucker differs from related species by its very small head and clearly visible teeth in the mouth. It helps maintain balance in the coastal zone by eating small invertebrates and serving as food for larger fish.
