The Adriatic sturgeon is a large fish from the sturgeon family. It lives in the Adriatic Sea, and for reproduction it ascends rivers.
The Adriatic sturgeon differs from other sturgeons by its short rounded snout. It helps maintain the cleanliness of water bodies by eating bottom animals, but has become very rare due to dams and fishing.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
