Synodontis sorex
Synodontis sorex
Synodontis sorex is a catfish from the Mochokidae family that lives in Lake Tanganyika in Africa. This fish often swims upside down to more easily find food on the underside of rocks and plants.
Synodontis sorex differs from other catfishes by its habit of swimming upside down and sharp spines in its fins. It helps keep the lake clean by eating algae and remains, and serves as food for large fish.
