Cobitis taurica
The Crimean minnow is a small freshwater fish up to 10 centimeters long. It lives only in the rivers and streams of Crimea and spends almost all its time on the bottom, burrowing into sand or silt.
The Crimean gammarus differs from other gammarus in the special arrangement of spots on the body and the fact that it lives only in Crimea. It is important for nature because it serves as food for predatory fish and helps process organic remains at the bottom of rivers.
