Myxine limosa
Myxine limosa
Myxine limosa is a species of hagfish, ancient jawless marine animals. They live on the ocean floor, feed on carrion and secrete a lot of mucus for protection.
Myxine limosa differs from related hagfishes by a greater number of slime pores and its habitat depth. It is important for nature because it cleans the seabed from the remains of dead animals.
