Rana brownorum and Rana berlandieri are closely related species of leopard frogs. They have a robust body, long hind legs, and skin with dark spots. These frogs live near freshwater bodies in the southern part of North America.
These frogs are distinguished from related species by a special pattern of spots and mating croaking sounds. They are important for nature because they eat many harmful insects and serve as food for snakes, birds, and other animals.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
