The Darwin's fox is a small predatory mammal from the dog family. It lives only in the forests of southern Chile and is one of the rarest fox species.
The Darwin's fox differs from other foxes in its very small body size and narrow habitat range only in Chile. It is important for nature as a hunter of small animals and a disperser of plant seeds in the forest.
