The tit-like tanager is a small bird from the tanager family. It lives high in the mountains of South America and deftly collects insects among the leaves.
The titmouse tanager differs from other tanagers in coloration similar to titmice and life high in the mountains. It is beneficial because it eats insects and helps maintain balance in mountain forests.
