The tailless rabbit, or teporingo, is a small Mexican animal without a visible tail. It lives only on the high slopes of volcanoes in the central part of Mexico.
The tailless rabbit differs from other rabbits by its very short ears and an almost complete absence of a tail. It is important for nature as part of the high-mountain ecosystem of Mexico and serves as food for local predators.
