Neotragus pygmaeus
The royal antelope is the smallest hoofed mammal in the world. It lives in the tropical forests of West Africa, has a shoulder height of about 25–30 centimeters and weighs no more than three kilograms.
The royal antelope differs from other antelope by its very small size and secretive lifestyle in dense forests. It helps spread plant seeds and serves as food for small predators.
