yellow-rumped flycatcher
Ficedula zanthopygia
The yellow-backed flycatcher is a small bird 13–14 centimeters long from the flycatcher family. Males are brightly colored: black head and back, white stripes on the wings, and yellow lower back, while females have duller olive-gray plumage.
The yellow-backed flycatcher differs from other flycatchers by the bright yellow lower back in males. It is important for forests because it eats many harmful insects and serves as food for predators.
