Schlegel's Penguin is a large penguin with a bright yellow crest and a white face. It lives only on Macquarie Island and in the surrounding waters of the Southern Ocean.
Schlegel's Penguin differs from the Macaroni Penguin in having a completely white face. It is important for the nature of Macquarie Island because it transfers nutrients from the ocean to land and serves as food for sea leopards.
