Aquila verreauxii
The Verreaux's Eagle (Black Eagle) is a large bird of prey with almost entirely black plumage. It inhabits the rocky mountains of Africa and primarily hunts hyraxes.
The Black Eagle differs from other eagles with its very dark color and narrow specialization in hunting hyraxes. It helps maintain balance in nature by regulating the population of herbivorous animals in African mountains.
