The Caspian plover is a small migratory bird with long legs and a short beak. It lives in the steppes of Central Asia in summer and flies to Africa for winter.
The Caspian sandpiper differs from other sandpipers with a clear black stripe on the chest of males during the breeding period. It is beneficial for the steppes because it eats many insects and serves as food for predators.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
