low silesian muffed tumbler
Low Silesian Muffed Tumbler
Calm, friendly, moderately active. Strong instinct for tumbling in flight (tumbler), but in a low-flying form. Gets along well in a flock, non-aggressive toward humans and other pigeons.
Low Silesian Muffed Tumbler — a medium-sized compact, strong, slightly squat breed of fancy tumblers. Weight 260–340 g (ideal 280–310 g), body length 240–270 mm. Distinguished by a small rounded head (38–42 mm), absence of crest, medium-length straight beak (14–17 mm), dark brown eyes, medium-length neck (65–75 mm). Body broad in the chest, short back, medium-length wings, short tail (70–80 mm) of 12–14 feathers. Main feature — strong muffing: shanks and toes covered with long (45–65 mm) soft twisted feathers forming dense rounded “rosettes” or “balls” completely covering the claws. Plumage dense, smooth on the body, silky and curled on the legs. Classic color — completely white with mandatory pure white muffed legs; black, red, yellow, blue allowed. Differs from the base species by smaller size, compact build and extreme muffing. Proportions: body length 3.5–3.7 times the head length.
