Paraechinus hypomelas
The long-spined hedgehog is a mammal from the hedgehog family. It lives in dry deserts and steppes of Asia, has long dark spines on its back, and bare patches on its muzzle and belly.
The long-spined hedgehog differs from other hedgehogs with its very long spines and ability to live in hot dry deserts. It is beneficial for nature because it eats many harmful insects and serves as prey for predators.
