The Colombian giant glass frog lives in the mountain forests of Colombia. In adult animals, the skin on the belly is transparent, through which the heart and other organs are visible.
The species is distinguished by its large size among glass frogs and a completely transparent belly. It is important for the forest ecosystem because it eats insects and serves as food for snakes and birds. The population of the species indicates the health of mountain forests and water purity.
Legendary longevity: over 100 years. Galapagos tortoises, Greenland sharks, ocean quahogs celebrate with family once every 4 years
