Pseudis minuta
The Little Floating Frog, or Pseudis minuta, is a small species of amphibian from South America. Its tadpoles grow much larger than the adult frogs, which have a body length of only 2–4 centimeters.
The Little Floating Frog is distinguished by the fact that its tadpoles can be five times longer than the adults. This feature helps the species survive in drying water bodies. The frogs serve as food for birds and other animals and control the population of insects.
Active search and capture of prey in water or on its surface.
