Duellmanohyla schmidtorum is a small frog from the tree frog family. It lives in mountain streams in southern Mexico and in Guatemala.
This frog differs from other tree frogs by living in cold fast mountain streams. It helps control the number of insects and serves as food for snakes and birds. Its presence indicates the purity of water in streams.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
