robust white-eye
Zosterops strenuus
Lord Howe white-eye is an extinct small bird of the white-eye family. It lived only on Lord Howe Island and was the largest among the white-eyes.
The Lord Howe white-eye differed from other white-eyes in its more robust body and strong beak. It helped the island's plants disperse seeds. The species went extinct after rats appeared on the island.
