Turukhan pika is a small animal from the pika family. It lives in northern Siberia among rocks and in the tundra, where it collects plants and makes loud whistles.
Turukhan pika differs from other pikas by living in the harsh northern tundra and its special way of storing food. It is important for nature as a link in the food chain and a seed disperser for plants.
