Podiceps taczanowskii
Taczanowski's grebe is a small bird from the grebe family. It lives only in one high-mountain lake in Peru, does not fly at all, and spends its entire life on the water.
Tachanovsky's grebe differs from other grebes by very small wings and complete inability to fly. It is important for nature as an endemic of a unique high-mountain lake and part of its food chain.
