The Swee Waxbill is a small bird about 10 centimeters long from the estrildid family. It lives in flocks in the southern part of Africa and has gray plumage with a bright red rump.
The Swee Waxbill differs from related species by the distinct black mask in males and bright red rump. The birds help plants spread seeds and serve as food for snakes and birds of prey.
