The white-headed steamer duck is a large marine bird that lives only on the Atlantic coast of Chubut province in Argentina. It does not fly and moves quickly on the water, working its wings strongly like a steamboat.
The white-headed steamer duck differs from other steamer ducks by the completely white head of males and by living only in one area of Argentina. It is important for nature because it controls the population of marine invertebrates on the coast.
