The deep-sea goblin shark is a shark with a long body and a pointed snout. It lives in cold deep ocean waters at depths from several hundred meters to two kilometers.
The deep-sea sixgill shark differs from other sharks with its very sharp snout and ability to live under high pressure and low temperature. It regulates the population of deep-sea animals and is part of the little-studied oceanic ecosystem.
Active search and capture of prey using olfaction and the lateral line.
Locomotion through water employed while searching for or capturing prey.
Legendary longevity: over 100 years. Galapagos tortoises, Greenland sharks, ocean quahogs celebrate with family once every 4 years

Theoretical maximum lifespan estimated from the Dynamic Energy Budget (DEB) mathematical model. This value reflects a biological potential derived from metabolic parameters, not from direct observation — real recorded lifespans are often significantly shorter.
