Eurasian skylarks inhabit terrestrial landscapes including ground forests, ground meadows and steppes, and scrubland; the species’ elevation range extends up to 1.5 kilometers above sea level. They are found in temperate mixed forests with warm summers and many oaks, birches, and maples, flooded meadows where water frequently covers the ground and there is abundant grass, and taiga characterized by cold winters and numerous coniferous trees such as spruce and pine. The climate varies, encompassing conditions where it is always very wet with frequent rain and high humidity, a climate with many rains and a cool summer accompanied by snow in winter, a climate of warm summers and abundant rainfall, a climate of warm summers and mild winters, and a pleasant summer with temperatures between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius.
