The stone marten is an omnivorous species that catches small animals and consumes plant matter, foraging for food through active hunting, searching, and pursuing prey. Its diet includes rodents, birds, eggs, insects, berries, fruits, and seeds; specifically, it preys on pigeons, turtledoves, squirrels, grey partridges, wall lizards, brown frogs, chipmunks, and other small animals. The species hunts at night and gathers fruits, with a daily food requirement ranging from 100 grams to 250 grams. Eagles prey on the stone marten.
