Swedish Warmblood
Calm, balanced, friendly, high energy level, excellent working capacity, low aggression, pronounced sporting instinct
Swedish Warmblood — a large, athletically built half-blood riding horse. A typical modern sport warmblood with pronounced jumping and dressage qualities. Height at withers 1580–1730 mm (ideally 1620–1700 mm). Weight 550000–700000 g. Constitution strong, dry, with well-defined bone structure and powerful yet elegant musculature. Head of medium size (480–560 mm), dry, expressive, profile straight or slightly convex. Neck long (650–850 mm), high-set, with pronounced poll. Body deep, withers high (180–240 mm above the back line), back of medium length, muscular croup, slightly sloping (8–12°). Chest deep (girth 1800–2050 mm). Limbs dry, strong, with clearly defined tendons; fetlocks very small or absent. Hooves strong, medium-sized (diameter 120–145 mm), often dark. Coat fine, short, glossy. All basic colors are allowed: bay, black, chestnut, gray, liver chestnut; small white markings are permitted. Ideal format square (body length ≈ height at withers). Differs from the basic domestic horse by greater height, dry constitution, sport type and free movement.
