The Kladruber horse is a large, massive, harmoniously built harness horse of the baroque type. Height at withers 165–178 cm in stallions and 160–172 cm in mares. Weight 650–750 kg in stallions and 550–650 kg in mares. Characterized by a high, majestic gait. Head large, massive with a pronounced Roman (hooked) profile, length 620–680 mm. Ears of medium length 140–170 mm, widely set. Eyes large, dark brown, widely spaced. Neck long 650–750 mm, high-set, with a crest in stallions. Body deep, chest depth 780–850 mm, back long straight or slightly soft, croup wide and slightly sloping. Limbs strong, pastern circumference 220–250 mm. Hooves large, wide, grayish-horn or dark in color. Only two colors: black (absolutely black without markings) and gray (lightens to white with age, shades and "dappled" allowed). Proportions: height at withers to body length 1:1.05–1.10, head length 38–40% of height at withers. Differs from the base type by a pronounced Roman profile, baroque type, large size, high neck set.
