Phylloscopus trochilus
The willow warbler is a small migratory bird about 11 centimeters long. Every spring, it arrives in the forests and shrubs of northern Europe and Asia to raise its chicks and flies to Africa in the fall.
The willow warbler differs from the similar chiffchaff with longer wings and a special song resembling a descending trill. It is important for the forest because it eats a large number of pest insects.
