American Warmblood
Calm, balanced, friendly, and hardworking. High trainability, moderate energy, excellent task focus. Less reactive and "hot" than purebred riding horses, but retains athletic drive. Gets along well with people and other horses.
American Warmblood — a large, athletically built sport horse, developed in the USA for dressage, show jumping and eventing. Height at withers 1620–1750 mm (ideally 1650–1720 mm). Live weight 550000–680000 g. Build harmonious, rectangular format (index 1:1.05–1:1.08), with pronounced athletic musculature, powerful dry skeleton. Head of medium size (480–560 mm), dry, with a straight or slightly convex profile. Neck long (650–780 mm), high-set, with a swan line. Body deep, withers high (165–185 mm), back short (480–550 mm), croup sloping (6–10°). Limbs of correct conformation, pasterns 110–140 mm, hooves 130–155 mm in diameter. Coat fine, short, glossy. All basic coat colors allowed (bay, black, chestnut, gray, liver, etc.), white markings; piebald and leopard spotting disqualified. Differs from European warmbloods by larger size, dry expressive head, athleticism and jumping topline.
