Noma Pony
Calm, obedient, good-natured, very friendly towards people, especially children. Low energy level, stable nervous system, minimal timidity. Strong herd instinct, gets along well in a group.
Noma Pony — one of the smallest horse breeds in the world, a true pony. Compact, sturdy, proportional, with a pronounced pony type. Height at withers 700–1100 mm (ideal 800–950 mm). Live weight 80–160 kg. Build strong, broad, short back, powerful bone structure, stocky “square” format (height at withers ≈ body length 1:1–1.05). Head relatively large, broad in the frontal area, short muzzle, straight or slightly concave profile. Eyes large, dark brown or black. Ears small (80–110 mm), erect. Neck short (380–520 mm), muscular, high-set with a crest in stallions. Body compact, broad and deep chest (girth 1100–1450 mm), short straight back (420–580 mm), rounded slightly sloping croup. Limbs short, very strong bone structure (cannon bone circumference 125–165 mm), strong rounded hooves. Tail low-set, thick. Coat dense, coarse, with a very thick undercoat, significantly longer and denser in winter. Skin thick, dark. Acceptable colors: bay (predominant), black-bay, brown, black, chestnut, gray. Minimal white markings preferred. Differs from the basic domestic horse by extremely small stature with powerful bone structure, square format, dense coarse coat and “wild” appearance.
