Spotted Saddle Horse
Calm, balanced, friendly and obedient. High sociability, low aggressiveness. Maintains the energy and endurance characteristic of breeds used in trail riding and shows.
Spotted Saddle Horse — medium-sized riding and driving horse, bred for a comfortable smooth running walk and bright spotted coat color. Height at withers 1420–1600 mm (ideally 1520–1580 mm), live weight 410000–550000 g (average 450000–520000 g). Build harmonious, compact, with a pronounced riding type and strong bone structure. Head of medium size (length 480–560 mm), dry, with a straight or slightly concave profile. Ears 110–140 mm, erect. Eyes large, from dark brown to amber-brown, blue eye possible. Neck 550–680 mm, muscular, high-set. Body compact, chest girth 1700–1950 mm, body length 1550–1700 mm. Back short (650–750 mm). Limbs dry, with strong hooves. Main distinguishing feature — obligatory spotted coat color (minimum 20% white on the body) against the background of the natural gait. All variants of pinto (Tobiano, Overo, Tovero, Sabino) and leopard complex (Leopard, Blanket, etc.) are allowed. Solid color is disqualified. Differs from Tennessee Walking Horse by more compact build, high neck set, and obligatory spotting.
