Spanish Jennet
Calm, obedient, friendly, with a pronounced desire to please humans. High sociability, low aggressiveness. Retains the energy and smoothness of movement characteristic of pacers. Gets along well with other horses and people, including children.
Spanish Jennet — a modern breeding line of the riding-harness horse of the baroque Iberian type, recreated in the USA based on the historical Spanish horse. Medium height, light harmonious build, with a pronounced gene for ambling (smooth four-beat amble). Differs from Andalusian/PRE by a lighter bone structure, short back, rounded croup and permission for piebald and leopard colors. From Paso Fino — by larger height and free movements. Ideal proportions: body length ≈ height at withers, head length ≈ 1/3 of height at withers, neck 35–38% of height at withers, shoulder angle 45–50°. Disqualifying vices: coarse non-Iberian head, straight or deer neck, weak limbs, lack of amble, height outside 142–157 cm.
